Rutgers Students Attend 2026 AIAA Region I Student Conference
Rutgers' Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering students, Bailley Georgieva, RJ Hummel, Anastasia Moreno, and Shirish Patel, presented their work at the 2026 AIAA Region I Student Conference in College Park, Maryland.
This annual Aerospace Engineering conference is open to high school and college students.
Participants write and present technical papers to other students within their region, while receiving constructive criticism from a panel of judges. Presentations run for 20 minutes, followed by up to 10 minutes of questions.
The students, under the advisement of Prof. Edward DeMauro, prepared their papers from work performed across the past academic year. Shown in the picture are the students posing with the AIAA University Relations Manager, Carla Soto.
